Tim Vos (born October 25, 1969 in Balen ) is a Belgian ice hockey player who has been under contract with Phantoms Antwerp again since 2014 and has been playing with the club in the Belgian-Dutch BeNe League since 2015 . He has also been the coach of the Belgian women's national team since 2017 .
Career
Tim Vos, who was born in Balen , Flanders , began his career in neighboring Geel , with the Griffoens there , where he played in the honor division for several years and won the Belgian Cup in 2000 . In 1995 he went to the Netherlands, where he initially played for two years for the Eaters Geleen and, after their withdrawal, for four years for the Tilburg Trappers in the Dutch honor division . In 2001 he became Dutch national champions and cup winners with the North Brabants . He then returned to his home club in Geel for one season, before spending the 2002/03 season again with the Eaters from Geleen. From 2003 to 2010 he played with the Phantoms Antwerp again in the Belgian honor division and won the Belgian ice hockey cup with them in 2005. In 2010 he moved to the HYC Herentals , with which he not only won the cup competition again in 2012, but also his first Belgian national championship title and in which, in addition to his appearances in the Belgian league, he also took part in the North Sea Cup . After standing on the ice at Olympia Heist op den from 2012 to 2014 , he switched again to Phantoms Antwerp, with whom he has been playing in the newly formed Belgian-Dutch BeNe League since 2015 and in 2015 was the last year of the Belgian honorary division champion and cup winner . Since 2015 he has played with the club in the Belgian-Dutch BeNe League .
International
For the Belgian national team , Vos initially took part in the D World Championships in 1989 , 1996 , 1997 , 1998 , 1999 and 2000 , the C World Championships in 1990 , 1991 and 1992 and the C2 World Championships in 1994 and 1995 . After switching to the current division system, he played at the World Championships of Division II in 2002 , 2003 , 2006 , 2007 , 2008 , 2009 and 2010 . At the 2004 World Cup he played with the Belgians in Division I. He is still the record player and top scorer of the Belgian national team.
Coaching career
After Vos was the player- coach in Heist op den Berg and Antwerp, he has been the head coach of the Belgian women's national team since the 2017 World Cup .
