With the Amsterdam Bulldogs (from 2006 Amstel Tijgers Amsterdam) he was twice Dutch champion until 2007 (2004 and 2005) and won the Dutch cup competition with Amsterdam in 2004, 2005 and 2007. In 2005 and 2006 he was also the best assists in the league and also their top scorer in the 2004/05 season.
After the 2006/07 season, in which he was assistant coach at the Amstel Tijgers in parallel to his work as a player, Hartogs ended his active career. He has been the head coach of the Dutch national ice hockey team since the B World Cup in 2007 .
