The Universidad de Deusto in Bilbao and San Sebastian is a university in Spain . Since it was founded in 1886, she has been a pioneer of the Spanish university business, the first title in Spanish economics was awarded here in 1916. The university's Deusto Business School is also based in Madrid .

The university was in 1886 when the first Basque University, in what was then vizcayinischen Elizate Deusto founded (now part of Bilbao). The existing Jesuit school in Laguardia has been upgraded and has now been re-established as a university. With the new building by the architect Marquess de Cuba, at that time the largest building in the city, the Jesuits moved their existing school from the Laguardia district to the center of Deusto, today Bilbao. The business administration institute of the university was founded in 1916 and remained unique in Spain for almost 50 years. In 1973 it was transferred to the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration.
