The Untold Festival is an electronic dance music event , which has been taking place every year since 2015 in Central Park in Cluj-Napoca , Romania . With over 350,000 visitors, it is the largest festival of its kind in Romania.

Untold: Chapter 1
The festival first took place in 2015 when Cluj was European Youth Capital . Most of the concerts were played in the Cluj Arena . In total, more than 240,000 visitors attended the concerts. The headliners of the first edition were Armin van Buuren , Avicii , David Guetta , Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike and ATB . The festival generated a total of 20 million euros in income.
Untold: Chapter 2
The second edition took place from August 4th to 7th, 2016 on a total of ten stages. The headliners were the top 5 DJs of 2015 : Tiësto , Hardwell , Martin Garrix , Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike and Armin van Buuren as well as Afrojack . Other live acts included Dannic , Fedde Le Grand , Naughty Boy , Lost Frequencies , Faithless , Parov Stelar , Scooter , Ella Eyre , James Arthur , Kwabs , Labrinth , John Digweed , Sasha , Nneka and Tujamo . A total of more than 300,000 visitors were counted, around 30,000 of them from abroad.
Untold: Chapter 3
The third edition took place from August 3 to 6, 2017. The seven headliners of the festival were announced in January: Afrojack , Armin Van Buuren , Axwell Λ Ingrosso , Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike , Hardwell , Martin Garrix , Marshmello and Steve Aoki . The live acts were finally released in March. These were: Ellie Goulding , Example , Hurts , Jasmine Thompson , MØ , John Newman and Tinie Tempah . Other well-known artists who made an appearance were u. a. Alan Walker , Don Diablo , Dillon Francis , Charli XCX , Redfoo , Era Istrefi , The Avener , Dannic , Lost Frequencies , Sander van Doorn , Dubfire , Kadebostany , Jamie Jones , Loco Dice , Solomun , Sven Väth , Andy C , Borgore , Pendulum and Chase & Status . Over 330,000 tickets were sold. The organizer invested more than 10 million euros in the multi-day festival.
Untold: Chapter 4
The fourth edition of the festival was held from August 2nd to 5th, 2018. According to the organizer, the costs amounted to around 12 million euros. On the first day, more than 85,000 people came to the concert by The Chainsmokers, which was being seen on a Romanian stage for the first time. However, the attendance record was broken on the second day of the festival by a number of 100,000 people attending the shows by Jason Derulo and Norwegian DJ Kygo . After DJing for 7 hours, the Dutch DJ Armin van Buuren gave his fans autographs from 9 a.m. after his concert.
Untold: Chapter 5
The fifth edition of the festival took place from August 1st to 4th, 2019. Spread over four days, around 372,000 visitors came, making it the most-visited edition of the festival. Around 90,000 festival visitors came on the first and third day, around 95,000 on the second day and around 97,000 on the fourth day.
