The coat of arms has been legally valid since July 27, 1961, designed by Joseph Decku. |
|
Justification of the coat of arms: The coat of arms of Wied-Runkel - Pfähle and Obereck indicates the earlier affiliation of the northern union area with Dierdorf to the upper county of Wied (Wied-Runkel) from the 14th century to 1806. The Isenburg bar coat of arms refers to the earlier affiliation of the southern union area with Isenburg and Maischeid to the county of Nieder-Isenburg until 1664. The green border is intended to symbolize the forest and meadow landscape of the association community. |
Local partnership
The Dierdorf Association has maintained a municipal partnership with the city of Krotoszyn ( Poland ) since 1997 . The close relationship that has existed for many years between the Martin-Butzer-Gymnasium, Dierdorf, and the Lyceum, Krotoszyn, served as the impetus for this partnership.
