Volvi ( Greek Βόλβη ( f. Sg. )) Is a municipality in the east of the Greek region of Central Macedonia . On the occasion of the administrative reform in 2010, it was formed from the merger of six municipalities. The municipality is named after Lake Volvi and the administrative center is the small town of Stavros .

The municipality of Volvis extends in the east of Central Macedonia around the eponymous Lake Volvi over 758.239 km² and extends from Lake Koronia in the west to the Strymonian Gulf in the east. Neighboring communities are Langada in the west , Visaltia and Amfipoli in the north , and Aristotelis and Polygyros in the south .
Administrative division
The municipality of Volvi was created due to the administrative reform in 2010 from the merger of Rendina , Agios Georgios , Apollonia , Arethousa , Egnatia and Madytos . Since then, these have formed the six municipal districts. The administrative headquarters are in Stavros .
