The constituency of Sömmerda was a state electoral district for the state election in Thuringia in 1990 , the first state election after the re-establishment of the state of Thuringia. Its constituency number was 11.

The constituency comprised the entire then Sömmerda district with the following cities and communities: Bachra , Beichlingen , Büchel , Buttstädt , Dermsdorf , Ellersleben , Eßleben-Teutleben , Frömmstedt , Frohndorf , Gangloffsömmern , Griefstedt , Großbrembach , Großmonra , Großneuhausen , Favoredt , Gutishmannshausen , Hardishmannshausen , Henschleben , Herrnschwende , Kindelbrück , Kleinbrembach , Kleinneuhausen , Kölleda , Leubingen , Mannstedt , Olbersleben , Orlishausen , Ostramondra , Ottenhausen , Rastenberg , Riethgen , Roldisleben , Roth Berga , Rudersdorf , Schallenburg , shear village , Schillingstedt , Schwerstedt , Sommerda , Sprötau , Straußfurt , Tunzenhausen , Vogelsberg , Waltersdorf , Weißensee , Werningshausen and Wundersleben .
