history

To the north-east of Walddachsbach there is a single find that could point to a settlement in the Neolithic Age (5000–1800 BC).

In 1317 the place was first mentioned in the Würzburg feudal book as "Daspach". A " Tauberlini de Hohenecke " had been given a fief by the Würzburg monastery. Around 1360, the burgraves of Nuremberg in “Daschbach” were granted 4 fiefs, 2 hubs , 6 farmsteads including the Teuerlein castle property as subject to interest and validation. Around 1578 a little castle in Oberdachsbach was attested, which at that time belonged to Eustachio von Abenberg . Around 1690 Oberbach and Unterdachsbach came to the Countess of Hohenlohe zu Wilhelmsdorf .

Towards the end of the 18th century, Waldachsbach and Oberdachsbach formed a community. There were 16 properties in Walddachsbach. The high court was exercised by the Brandenburg-Bayreuth city bailiff Neustadt an der Aisch . The village and township government had the box office Ipsheim held. The landlords were the caste office Ipsheim (14 properties: 6 estates, 1 estate, 5 houses, community forge, community shepherd's house) and the state charity office of the imperial city of Nuremberg (2 estates).

In 1810 Walddachsbach came to the new Kingdom of Bavaria . As part of the community edict , it was assigned to the Altheim tax district formed in 1811 . In 1817 the rural community Altheim was formed, to which Walddachsbach also belonged. With the second community edict (1818) it was dissolved and formed its own rural community, to which Oberdachsbach belonged. This was subject to the Windsheim Regional Court in administration and jurisdiction and the Ipsheim Rent Office in the financial administration . From 1840 to 1875 a district of Feldhäusel is attested. From 1862 Walddachsbach was administered by the Uffenheim District Office (renamed the Uffenheim District in 1938 ) and from 1856 by the Windsheim Rent Office ( renamed Windsheim Tax Office in 1920 ). The jurisdiction remained with the District Court of Windsheim until 1879, from 1880 District Court of Windsheim . The municipality had an area of 2.289 km².

On July 1, 1972, Walddachsbach was incorporated into Dietersheim as part of the regional reform .
