Seychelles coat of arms

The coat of arms of the Republic of Seychelles is a naturalistic one .

Description : The split coat of arms shows a blue sky with four white clouds above. Below is a Seychelles palm (Lodoicea maldivica) on a green upturned shield base , which bears the Coco de Mer as fruit and at the base of which is an Aldabra giant tortoise (Geochelone gigantea) . In the distance two islands protrude from the blue sea and a ship with white sails is heading towards them. On the upper edge of the shield is a toad - head helmet turned to the right with a blue-red split silver helmet cover . A white-tailed tropical bird (phaeton lepturus) flies over a blue-red-silver bead of a helmet on which a blue ribbon with white wavy stripes blows .

Shield holders are two white Indo-Pacific sailfish (Istiophorus platyperus) .

A white ribbon with red back is where the slogan in black under the shield capitals is the Seychelles: Finis Coronat Opus ( Latin for The end crowns the work ).
