Wesley Andrew "Wes" Foderingham (born January 14, 1991 in Hammersmith , London ) is an English football player . The goalkeeper is under contract with Sheffield United in the Premier League .

Career

Wes Foderingham was born in 1991 in Hammersmith , a borough of London. He began his career in the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham with the local Fulham FC . For the club he played in youth until 2009. In the 2009/10 season he was included in the Cottagers ' professional squad. Behind Mark Schwarzer , David Stockdale and Pascal Zuberbühler , he was only the fourth goalkeeper, so he was awarded to FC Bromley from the National League in 2010 . In August 2010 he signed another club from London with Crystal Palace . From the Eagles Foderingham was awarded in the following two years to the lower class English clubs FC Bromley, FC Boreham Wood , FC Histon and Swindon Town . During his loan to fourth division to Swindon from October 2011 to January 2012 and the firm commitment in January he helped the team of Paolo Di Canio the championship title in the League Two . He also reached the final in the League Trophy with the team that was lost against Chesterfield FC . He did not give up the regular place between the posts in the three following seasons. After a total of 152 league games, Foderingham joined the Glasgow Rangers in Scotland in 2015 on a free transfer . With the Rangers he was immediately the goalkeeper under Mark Warburton and completed all 36 games of the season. He finished the season with the Rangers as second division champions , and won the final in the Challenge Cup against FC Peterhead . After Steven Gerrard took over the position of coach in 2018, Foderingham lost his place in goal to Allan McGregor .

On July 17, 2020, Foderingham moved to Sheffield United in the Premier League .

National team

Wes Foderingham played five times for the England U-16s from 2006 to 2007 . From 2008 to 2009 four times in the U-17 , and between 2009 and 2010 three times in the English U-19 .
