history

By the place that ran Fraischgrenze , which was based on the road-Dinkelbühl Bechhofen. North of the street, the Ansbach Oberamt Feuchtwangen was responsible. There was a grinding and cutting mill that was owned by the imperial city of Dinkelsbühl as the landlord . To the south of the street, the Ansbach Oberamt Wassertrüdingen was responsible. There was an economy with a customs post, which the Oettingen-Spielberg Oberamt Dürrwangen had as landlord. The Fraisch was also claimed by the Oberamt Dürrwangen, the imperial city of Dinkelsbühl wanted to assert it on their property. By the end of the 18th century there were 4 properties. The landlords were the Oberamt Dürrwangen (1 economy with customs house, 2 half courtyards) and the Catholic church administration of the imperial city of Dinkelsbühl (1 mill). From 1797 to 1808 the place was partly under the Justice and Chamber Office Feuchtwangen , and partly the Justice and Chamber Office Wassertrüdingen .

As a result of the community edict, Witzmannsmühle was assigned to the tax district Dürrwangen and the rural community of Halsbach in 1809 . With the second community edict (1818) it was re-grouped into the newly formed rural community Haslach . On May 1, 1978, Witzmannsmühle was incorporated into Dürrwangen as part of the regional reform in Bavaria .
