history

Zickeritz and its current districts of Brucke and Zellwitz belonged to the county of Mansfeld . They were administered by the Friedeburg sub-office based in Friedeburg in the Mansfeld district. Part of Zickeritz also belonged to the Gerbstedt office . The sub-jurisdiction of the manor in Zellwitz lay with the Lords of Plathen zu Friedeburg. When the county of Mansfeld was divided in 1738/80, Zickeritz, Zellwitz and Brucke received the share that the Duchy of Magdeburg , which belonged to Prussia , received.

With the Peace of Tilsit in 1807, the three places were incorporated into the Kingdom of Westphalia and assigned to the Halle district in the Saale department. The Mansfeld villages of Zickeritz, Zellwitz and Brucke came to the canton of Gerbstedt . After Napoleon's defeat and the end of the Kingdom of Westphalia, Napoleon's allied opponents liberated the area in early October 1813. During the political reorganization after the Congress of Vienna in 1815, the three places were attached to the administrative district of Merseburg of the Prussian province of Saxony in 1816 and assigned to the Mansfeld lake district .

In the course of the first district reform in the GDR, the places Brucke and Zellwitz were incorporated into Zickeritz on July 1, 1950 and the place was assigned to the district of Bernburg . From 1952 Zickeritz belonged to the Bernburg district in the Halle district .

The previously independent municipality of Zickeritz was incorporated into Könnern on January 1, 2003.
