The city is located about 1000 km east of Moscow as the crow flies , in the northwest of Bashkortostan, not far from the border with the Republic of Tatarstan , about 45 km south of Neftekamsk , on the Belaya, which flows into the Kama about 25 km further .
history
The settlement was created in 1980 in connection with the construction of the subsequently unfinished Bashkiria nuclear power plant and was granted town charter in 1991.

Agidel is connected to the main railway line Kazan - Yekaterinburg , which is about 50 km away , via the road III to Perm and Yekaterinburg, 20 km away, and on the waterway over the Belaya, Kama and Volga to the Caspian Sea .
