The AirClass Airways (originally by 2005 brand Travel Service España ) was a Spanish airline based in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria . It flew scheduled and charter services and also accepted wet lease orders. The company's hub was Gran Canaria Airport .

history

The airline began flight operations in February 2003. It was founded by the tour operator Canaria Travel as a sister company of the Czech Travel Service under the name Visig Operaciones Aéreas , but appeared externally under the Travel Service España brand . Operations started with a Boeing 737-800 that had been taken over by the Czech Travel Service . The company was bought by the Spanish investment group AirClass in November 2005 and temporarily ceased operations in December 2005.

The dormant company was then restructured with the help of the Spanish Futura International Airways and renamed AirClass Airways . Operations began under this name in May 2006 with two leased Boeing 737s. The company was wholly owned by AirClass and employed 48 people. At the end of March 2008, AirClass Airways had to cease its flight operations because the lessor brought back the last aircraft.
