Air Europa Express was a Spanish low-cost airline based in Llucmajor on Mallorca and based at Palma de Mallorca Airport . It was a subsidiary of Air Europa .

history

Air Europa Express was founded in 1996 to operate regional flights with turboprop aircraft. The airline had a similar livery as the parent company Air Europa, only that the fuselage was labeled "Express".

In October 2001, due to low demand and economic problems as well as the aftermath of the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001, operations were stopped and 330 employees were made redundant.

Aeronova , which was acquired by Air Europa in 2015, has been operating flights under the Air Europa Express brand since January 2016 .

The Air Europa Express fleet consisted of 17 BAe ATP . From June 1998 to December 1998 Air Europa Express also operated a Boeing 737-300 .
