Helicsa Helicópteros SA is a Spanish aviation company founded in 1965 . The company headquarters are in Madrid .

history

The helicopter company began its activities in 1965 with services in agriculture with the application of pesticides from the air. In 1972 the company began transporting people and materials to oil rigs. From 1991 Helisca became the official flight service provider for the rescue of shipwrecked people on behalf of the Sociedad de Salvamento y Seguridad Marítima . In 2001, 30 Helicsa rescue helicopters were already in use for the Sociedad de Salvamento y Seguridad Marítima in Spain.

Equity stake

In 2003 Helicsa Helicópteros and Helicópteros del Sureste jointly founded the INAER Group, which today operates an international fleet of around 305 helicopters. In order to carry out flight services in Spain, the company operates a fleet of over 160 aircraft in Spain alone and employs around 1400 people worldwide. The main location and maintenance center of the Spanish helicopter fleet is at the Aeródromo de Muchamiel in Alicante . Helicsa is currently in flight operations as the "Off-Shore" division within the INAER Group.
