Ama ( Japanese あ ま 市 , - shi ) is a city in the Japanese prefecture of Aichi .

geography

Ama is east of Aisai and west of Nagoya .

history

The community was created on March 22, 2010 from the merger of the district cities Jimokuji ( 甚 目 寺 町 , - chō ), Miwa ( 美 和 町 , -chō ) and Shippō ( 七宝 町 , -chō ) from the district of Ama .

traffic

Ama is developed in an east-west direction by the Tsushima line of the Nagoya Tetsudō (Meitetsu), there are three train stations in the city. Ama is connected to the Japanese motorway network via the Mei-Nikan motorway.
