Inazawa ( Japanese 稲 沢 市 , -shi ) is a city in the Japanese prefecture of Aichi on the island of Honshu . She is famous for tree nurseries .

  • After the Taika reform (645) Inazawa became the capital of Owari Province .
  • In the Nara period , a provincial temple was built on the orders of the then emperor Shōmu .
  • In 1875 , Inaba Village and Ozawa Village merged to form Inazawa Village (Inazawa-mura).
  • In 1889 the name changed from Inazawa-mura to Inazawa-cho following the introduction of a new community system.
  • On June 10, 1906 , Inazawa became larger by incorporating other villages.
  • On April 15, 1955 , Inazawa grew again by incorporating other villages.
  • On Nov. 1, 1958 , Inazawa becomes a city.
  • On April 1, 2005 , Inazawa becomes the current Inazawa through the incorporation of Sobue-cho and Heiwa-cho.
