Shinshiro is north of Toyohashi and east of Okazaki .
history
Shinshiro City was established on November 1, 1958.

Shinshiro can be reached via National Highways 151, 257, 301 and 420. The Iida Line , operated by JR Central , runs through the city and the main train stations are Hon-Nagashino , Mikawa-Kawai and Ōmi . The Taguchi line branched off from 1929 to 1968 in Hon-Nagashino .
