The season 1958/59 the Amateur Oberliga Niedersachsen was the tenth season of highest Lower Saxony amateur league in football . At that time it took the second highest level in the German league system. Master was SV Arminia Hannover . In addition to Hanover, VfB Oldenburg and Eintracht Osnabrück qualified for the promotion round to Oberliga Nord , where Osnabrück prevailed. From the Oberliga Nord, Eintracht Nordhorn and VfL Wolfsburg were relegated to the Amateur Oberliga Niedersachsen.

The relegation places were taken in the west by Cuxhavener SV and TuRa Grönenberg Melle and in the east by VfB Fallersleben and Goslarer SC 08 . For this, the amateur league of Lower Saxony Eintracht Cuxhaven , the amateurs of Hannover 96 and TuS Haste 01 rose to the West group and SG Adenstedt to the East group. For the 1959/60 season the Sportfreunde Ricklingen moved to the Eastern group.
