Ambelos ( Greek Άµπελος ( f. Sg. )) Is a village in the north of the Greek island of Samos on the northern foothills of the Ambelos Mountains at an altitude of 250 to 350 m. The village is less than 2 km west of Agios Konstandinos and barely a kilometer from the north coast. The village of Ambelos (Άμπελος) with 252 inhabitants also includes Livadaki (Λιβαδάκι 28 inhabitants) and Petalides (Πεταλίδες 29 inhabitants).

Presumably the village was founded in the 17th century by a family from Kythira as Nenedes . Before the port of Samos in Greece Nenedes was a village of Exi Gitonies (Έξι Γειτονιές, six neighborhoods'). At the beginning of the 20th century, Nenedes and Stavrinides formed an independent community. The name was changed to Ambelos ('Weinberg') in 1957.

The wine is the main source of income of the inhabitants. In addition, tree cultures such as cherries, apricots, nuts and sweet chestnuts bring additional income.

With the implementation of the municipality reform according to the Kapodistrias program in 1997, Ambelos was incorporated into the municipality of Vathy . After the merger of the former municipalities of the island after the administrative reform in 2010 to form the municipality of Samos ( Δήμος Σάμου Dímos Sámou ), the correction in 2019 in two municipalities means that the place belongs to the municipality of Anatoliki Samos .
