The municipality of Vathy ( Greek Δημοτική Ενότητα Βαθέος Dimotikí Enótita Vathéos ) is one of two municipalities in the municipality of Anatoliki Samos on the Greek island of Samos in the North Aegean region . It emerged from the municipality of Vathy as part of the 2010 administrative reform and is divided into two districts and seven local communities.

The municipality Vathy ( Δήμος Βαθέος Dímos Vathéos ) was from 1997 to 2010 a municipality of the then Greek prefecture of Samos with the administrative seat in the city ​​of Samos .

The municipality was created as a result of the municipality reform in 1997 from the merger of the municipality of Samos, which had existed since 1918, with eight rural municipalities. With 12,517 inhabitants, Vathy was the most populous municipality on the island in 2011.
