The office of Niepars is centrally located in the district of Vorpommern-Rügen in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania (Germany), the northernmost district of the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. In Office Niepars the eight have communities joined United Kordshagen Jakobsdorf, Lüssow, Niepars, Pantelitz, Steinhagen, Wendorf and Zarrendorf to do their administrative business. The administrative seat is in the municipality of Niepars . The municipality of Zarrendorf has been part of the office since January 1st, 2004. On May 26, 2019, Kummerow and Neu Bartelshagen were incorporated into Niepars.
The official area extends west and south of the Hanseatic city of Stralsund . The north borders on the Altenpleen office , the west borders on the Franzburg-Richtenberg and Barth offices and the south borders on the Miltzow office . In the north, part of the office borders the Grabow . There are several larger lakes in the municipality, such as Borgwallsee and Pütter See . The river Barthe has its source in the official area.
Economically, only the industrial areas around Stralsund play a role. Tourism is underdeveloped.

The federal highways 194 , 105 and 96 lead through the Niepar office . The federal motorway 20 runs south of the office .
Two railway lines cross the area of the Niepars office:
- The Kummerow (Stralsund) and Martensdorf stations are on the Stralsund – Rostock railway line .
- The Barth - Stralsund trains of the Usedomer Bäderbahn stop at both stations every two hours .
- The regional express Rostock - Stralsund - Sassnitz of DB Regio AG also stops in Martensdorf every two hours .
- On the railway line Stralsund-Neustrelitz the train station is Zarrendorf , which is served every hour, alternately
- from the regional express Stralsund - Neustrelitz - Berlin - Falkenberg / Elster of the DB Regio AG and
- from the Stralsund - Neustrelitz trains operated by Ostseeland Verkehr GmbH.
