The Bad Liebenwerda District Court , a court of ordinary jurisdiction , is one of five District Courts (AG) in the district of the Cottbus District Court .

Seat and District of the Court

The seat of the court is the city of Bad Liebenwerda in the Elbe-Elster district . The 1900 km² judicial district extends to the cities and municipalities Bad Liebenwerda, Crinitz , Doberlug-Kirchhain , Elsterwerda , Falkenberg / Elster , Fichtwald , Finsterwalde , Gorden-Staupitz , Val Gardena , Großthiemig , Heideland , Herzberg (Elster) , Hirschfeld , Hohenbucko , Hohenleipisch , Kremitzaue , Lebusa , Lichterfeld-Schacksdorf , Massen-Niederlausitz , Merzdorf , Mühlberg / Elbe , Plessa , Röderland , Rückersdorf , Sallgast , Schilda , Schlieben , Schönborn , Schönewalde , Schraden , Sonnewalde , Tröbitz and Uebigau-Wahrenbrück . More than 104,000 people live in it.

For the management of commercial , cooperative , association and partnership register is Amtsgericht Cottbus as Central Registration court jurisdiction. Dunning proceedings are handled by the Wedding District Court as the central dunning court .

The Cottbus Regional Court is superordinate to the Bad Liebenwerda District Court. The competent higher regional court is the Brandenburg Higher Regional Court in Brandenburg an der Havel .
