Career
Loktionow began his career in the youth teams of Chimik Voskressensk . From 2003 he played for the junior teams of HK Spartak Moscow before moving to Lokomotive Yaroslavl in 2006 . For Lokomotiv he first played in the third class Pervaya League before making his debut for the men's team in the Russian Super League in 2008 . During the 2008 NHL Entry Draft , he was selected by the Los Angeles Kings and sent to the Ontario Hockey League to the Windsor Spitfires . This was preceded by a conflict between the Continental Hockey League (KHL) and the NHL over the contract status of the Russian. With the Spitfires he won both the J. Ross Robertson Cup and the Memorial Cup in 2009 .
From the beginning of the 2009/10 season he played for the Manchester Monarchs in the American Hockey League , but also made his NHL debut during the season. In February 2013, the Russian was transferred to the New Jersey Devils in exchange for a five-round vote in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft . The following season, in March 2014, the Devils gave Loktionow to the Carolina Hurricanes in exchange for Tuomo Ruutu . He stayed there until the end of the season, until his expiring contract was not extended and he was looking for a new employer as a free agent from July 2014 .
In November 2014 Loktionow returned to Lokomotive Yaroslavl in the KHL and was Lokomotives regular until the end of the 2016/17 season. In July 2017, he once again made the leap to North America when he signed a trial contract with his ex-team Los Angeles Kings. However, this did not result in a permanent commitment. He therefore returned to Lokomotiv in November 2017. In the 2018/19 season he was top scorer at Lokomotiv together with Brandon Kozun and was consequently nominated for the KHL All-Star Game . After his contract with Lokomotive expired, he moved to HK Metallurg Magnitogorsk together with Kozun . A year later he left the club and joined the top team HK CSKA Moscow .
International

A year later, at the 2014 World Cup , he was only used in one game. At the end of the tournament he won the gold medal with the Sbornaja .
