Career

Mamin comes from the junior division of the CSKA Moscow Army Club . For the club, the striker first played in the Molodjoschnaja Chokkeinaja League for the junior team Krasnaya Armija . After two more years in the CSKA squad, Mamin made the leap to North America for the 2017/18 season . He signed a contract with the Florida Panthers from the National Hockey League after they had selected him in the sixth round in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft in 175th position. During the season, the Russian first came to Florida's farm team , the Springfield Thunderbirds , from the American Hockey League . After making his debut in the Panthers NHL squad for the first time in January 2018, he established himself there from the following month and played a total of 26 games. After a poor start to the following season, he was loaned to his ex-club in Moscow in November 2018 to gain match practice there. At the end of April, the team announced that they had firmly signed Mamin and provided them with a contract until the end of the 2020/21 season.
