Klas Dahlbeck (born July 6, 1991 in Katrineholm ) is a Swedish ice hockey player who has been under contract with HK CSKA Moscow in the Continental Hockey League since June 2018 .
Career
Klas Dahlbeck began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the youth department of Katrineholm Hockey. Then he was active from 2007 to 2009 in the youth department of the Växjö Lakers , where he was used in the 2008/09 season in parallel in five games as a loan player for Gislaveds SK in the third-class Division 1. For the 2009/10 season , the defender moved to Linköpings HC , for whose professional team he remained in the Elitserien in his rookie year in a total of nine games in a total of nine games. He also ran as a loan player in two games for the third division Mjölby Hockey .
In the 2010/11 season Dahlbeck increased to eight assists in a total of 54 Elitserien missions. He was also on the ice in eight games in the European Trophy . He was then selected in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft in the third round as a total of 79th player by the Chicago Blackhawks . In May 2012 he signed an entry-level contract with the Blackhawks, who then handed him over to their farm team , the Rockford IceHogs . There Dahlbeck spent two full seasons before he made his NHL debut in the 2014/15 season and completed a total of four games for Chicago.
In February 2015, the Blackhawks gave him, including a first-round vote for the 2015 NHL Entry Draft, to the Arizona Coyotes and received Antoine Vermette in return . The following summer, Dahlbeck extended his contract in Arizona for a year, and a year later. Shortly before the start of the season, he was signed by the Carolina Hurricanes via the waiver in October 2016 .
After six years in North America, in which Dahlbeck never prevailed in the NHL, the Swede returned to Europe in June 2018 and signed a one-year contract with HK ZSKA Moscow from the Continental Hockey League (KHL).
International
With the U20 national team of Sweden Dahlbeck took part in the 2011 Junior World Championship . During the tournament he prepared two goals in six games. He made his debut for the senior national team in his home country as part of the Euro Hockey Tour 2011/12 .
