Asseco Poland is a listed Polish information technology group based in Rzeszów in the Sub-Carpathian Mountains . The company is the largest software manufacturer in Central and Eastern Europe and the sixth largest in the pan-European market.

The company's share is traded on the Warsaw Stock Exchange and is included in its WIG30 leading index .

history

The Asseco Group was created in 2005 from the merger of COMP Rzeszów SA (today: Asseco Poland) and Asset Soft (today Asseco Slovakia), and Asseco Romania, Asseco Czech Republic and Asseco Adria were added in the same year. This was followed by the acquisition of two IT companies in Serbia and Macedonia.

In 2006 Asseco Poland merged with the Prokom software subsidiary Softbank, with the simultaneous incorporation of the Czech PVT (today: Asseco Czech Republic). In September 2007 it was announced that Asseco Poland was planning a merger with its competitor Prokom Software . Asseco has made Ryszard Krauze and the investment company Prokom Investments, which he controls, an offer of almost 700 million zlotys for their 23.49 percent stake in Prokom Software.

Business areas

The Asseco Group is active in the field of software solutions for banks, insurance companies, tolls, healthcare as well as supply and disposal. Asseco is the market leader in Poland for IT solutions for corporate planning ( ERP ). More than 60,000 customers in Eastern Europe, including several thousand in the industrial sector, are around 300 banks in Poland (including Deutsche Bank , Volkswagen Bank / Volkswagen Leasing , PKO BP , as well as several ministries, the Polish police, the Polish post office and the Warsaw Stock Exchange ).

Asseco Central Europe, as, Division GNS includes the German Asseco BERIT GmbH , based in Mannheim, and the Swiss Asseco BERIT AG , based in Sissach , as 100 percent subsidiaries
  • Sintagma, Lithuania
  • ADH-Soft (Poland's leading manufacturer of computer programs for the leasing sector): 55%, acquired in May 2007
  • AP AG, Germany (one of the leading ERP providers on the German market): Takeover of 80% of the shares in 2007
