The Shanghai – Chongqing or Huyu Highway ( Chinese 沪 渝 高速公路 , Pinyin Hùyú gāosù gōnglù , English Huyu Expressway ), Chinese abbreviation G50 , is a highway in China that has a length of 1900 km. It begins in the west of the metropolis of Shanghai and heads west via Huzhou , Xuancheng , Chizhou , Wuhan and Jingzhou to the city of Chongqing, which is directly under the government . In the southwest of Hubei Province , the G50 runs on the Siduhe Bridge , at 472 m one of the highest bridges in the world.
