Béni Abbès ( Arabic ولاية بني عباس, DMG Wilāyat Banī ʿAbbās ) is a province ( wilaya ) in western Algeria . The provincial capital is the oasis town of Béni Abbès .

The newly created province in December 2019 was previously part of Bechar Province . It lies in the Sahara and borders Morocco in the west and four other provinces: Bechar in the north, Timimoun in the east, Adrar in the southeast and Tindūf in the southwest.

With 50,163 inhabitants (as of the end of 2009) on 101,350 km² it is only sparsely populated, the population density is around 0.49 inhabitants per square kilometer.
