Bardenitz is a district of the town of Treuenbrietzen in the Potsdam-Mittelmark district in Brandenburg .
Geographical location and structure
Bardenitz is located southeast of the city center and thus on the connection between the two spacious landscapes of the Glogau-Baruther glacial valley and the Fläming . In the north is the municipality of Niebelhorst and the adjacent nature reserve Zarth . This is followed in a clockwise direction by Felgentreu , a district of the Nuthe-Urstromtal community , the town of Luckenwalde with the Forst Zinna – Jüterbog – Keilberg nature reserve , the Malterhausen district of Niedergörsdorf and the Treuenbrietzen district of Frohnsdorf . The district essentially extends along highway 812, which runs through the town in a north-south direction. At the same time, apart from some country roads such as the Bardenitzer Weg , it is also the only noteworthy connection to the neighboring communities.
In the western part of the district runs the eponymous Bardenitzer Fließ , a historical name for a watercourse. It drains through several other ditches into the Nieplitz , a left tributary of the Nuthe . The parts of the municipality Klausdorf and Pechüle to the south and east belong to Bardenitz .
history
To the north of the district are the remains of a Slavic low castle with a diameter of 70 to 80 meters, which archaeologists dated to the 8th to 10th centuries. Bardenitz itself was first mentioned in 1268 when Richard von Zerbst sold it to the Zinna monastery . It is thanks to the Cistercian monks that in the first half of the 13th century two stately stone churches were built in both Bardenitz and Pechüle , the village church of Bardenitz and the village church of Pechüle . In the course of the Reformation, the influence of the monks waned until the last administrator of the Magdeburg diocese died in 1680 . Elector Friedrich Wilhelm occupied the area and incorporated it into Prussia . In 1748 nine people from the Palatinate came to the region and revitalized the neighboring town of Klausdorf. This led to a dispute with Pechüler farmers who had previously used the land for cattle breeding. The dispute could only be settled through the deployment of twenty grenadiers from Treuenbrietzen.
1974 was carried incorporation of Klausdorf and Pechüle after Bardenitz. In 1994 the community won first place in the district competition Our village should become more beautiful . In 1996 and 1997 she took third place. On December 31, 2002 Bardenitz with Pechüle and Klausdorf became part of the city of Treuenbrietzen.
