Anis Basim Moujahid (born July 4, 1992 ), better known as Basim , is a Danish pop singer and songwriter of Moroccan origin.

Career

In 2008, at the age of 15, Basim took part in the Danish version of the talent show X Factor , reaching the quarter-finals. He then began a career as a singer in Denmark and released the two albums Alt det jeg ville have have says (2008) and Befri dig selv (2009), which produced a total of five singles. On March 8, 2014 Basim won the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix , the Danish preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 , and represented Denmark on May 10 with the song Cliché Love Song . He finished ninth in the final.

The Danish radio finally announced that Basim would read out the Danish scoring in the final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 .
