Battin is a district of the town of Jessen (Elster) in the Wittenberg district of Saxony-Anhalt .
Location and accessibility
Battin is about 6 km southwest of the city of Jessen and is connected to it via the L 114.
history
As the name probably as a Wendish settlement Battin was first mentioned in documents in 1346 under the name Batyn . The place name Battin, which is still valid today, has been established since 1672.
Attractions
The Battiner Church , which was built in 1901 and a triptych contains the 14th century, today is the symbol of Battin.
