The province of Biskra ( Arabic ولاية بسكرة, DMG Wilāyat Biskira , tamazight ⴰⴳⴻⵣⴷⵓ ⵏ ⴱⴻⵙⴽⵔⴰ Agezdu n Beskra ) is a province ( wilaya ) in eastern Algeria .

The province has an area of ​​21,094 km² and is located near the border with Tunisia in the transition area between the densely populated north and the sparsely populated south.

Around 692,000 people (2006 estimate) inhabit the province, so the population density is 33 inhabitants per square kilometer.
