Borna Sosa (born January 21, 1998 in Zagreb ) is a Croatian soccer player who is under contract with VfB Stuttgart .

Career

Sosa made his debut for Dinamo Zagreb in the 1st HNL on March 7, 2015 against NK Zagreb . At the end of the 2014/15 and 2015/16 seasons , he celebrated the double with Dinamo. On May 10, 2016, he was in action over the full game distance when he won the final of the Croatian Football Cup against NK Slaven Belupo Koprivnica . He then captured a permanent place on the left defense of Dinamo Zagreb.

On May 14, 2018, VfB Stuttgart announced that Borna Sosa had signed up for the 2018/19 season after the player had signed a contract with the Swabian club that ran until June 2023.

National team

In 2012 Sosa made his debut against a Bayern team for the Croatian U-14 national team. He contributed a goal with the U-19 national team of Croatia to qualify for the U-17 European Championship 2015 against Kazakhstan in October 2014 and reached the quarter-finals in the final round. Because of his strong performance at the U-17 European Championship, he was elected to the team of the tournament. With a win in the playoff against Italy, Sosa qualified for the U-17 World Cup in 2015 , where he made it to the quarter-finals again with Croatia.
