Career

society

He started his football career at Viktoria Lippstadt , later went to SV Lippstadt 08 and in 2014 moved to Arminia Bielefeld's youth training center . In the 2016/17 season , Massimo was the top scorer in the B-Junioren-Bundesliga West with 16 goals . Massimo made his debut in Arminia's professional team on December 1, 2017, when he came on for Tom Schütz in Bielefeld's 5-0 win in the second division game against FC St. Pauli . Since Massimo was still a minor, the club still had to obtain approval from the competent authority because the game ended after 8 p.m. and the Youth Labor Protection Act forbids minors to be employed after 8 p.m.

For the 2018/19 season , Bundesliga club VfB Stuttgart acquired the transfer rights to Massimo and lent him directly to Arminia Bielefeld for at least one year. Under head coach Jeff Saibene , he came to three second division appearances by mid-December, in which he scored a goal. Under the new coach Uwe Neuhaus , Massimo was only substituted once by the end of the season.

For the season 2019/20 changed Massimo finally to VfB Stuttgart, who in the preseason was relegated to the 2. Bundesliga. Until the winter break he made 3 second division appearances under head coach Tim Walter (once from the start). In addition, he played 7 times for the second team in the fifth-class Oberliga Baden-Württemberg . During the winter break, Pellegrino Matarazzo became the new head coach of the professional team. Under him, Massimo played 8 times in the 2nd Bundesliga by the end of the season (4 times from the start). With the professionals, he rose to the Bundesliga and the second team to the Regionalliga Südwest after the league season in March could not be continued due to the COVID-19 pandemic .

National team

Massimo played twice in the German U19 national team in September 2018 .
