Silas Wamangituka Fundu (born October 6, 1999 in Kinshasa ) is a Congolese soccer player who has been under contract with VfB Stuttgart since August 2019 .

Club career

Wamangituka began playing football in his Congolese homeland in a youth academy run by Olympic Matete FC . There he managed to convince and was allowed to complete a trial training session in France at the first division club HSC Montpellier in 2017 , but was not permanently committed. Finally he ended up in the youth of the then fifth division Olympique Alès . After a year he moved to the second division Paris FC , where he was originally scheduled for the reserve.

He made his debut for the capital city club on August 31, 2018 (1st matchday). In the 2-0 home win against ES Troyes AC he was substituted on in the second half. In the next league game two weeks later, he was brought back into play, but had to leave the field 20 minutes after being substituted on after receiving the yellow-red card. Nevertheless, he was always substituted in in the final stages of the games in the next few games and so eventually won a place in the starting line-up a short time later. On November 9, he met for the first time for Paris FC in the 2-1 away defeat against FC Lorient . By the end of the 2018/19 season , he played in 32 games and scored eleven goals. With his club he reached fourth place in the table and qualified for the promotion play-offs. There they lost their first game against RC Lens on penalties. Wamangituka was on the pitch the entire time in this game and converted a penalty himself.

On August 13, 2019, Wamangituka moved to VfB Stuttgart and signed a contract with the Swabians dated until June 2024.
