Daniel Didavi (born February 21, 1990 in Nürtingen ) is a German soccer player who has been under contract with VfB Stuttgart again since the beginning of the 2018/19 season .
youth
Daniel Didavi's father Ignace comes from the Republic of Dahomey , today's Benin ; his mother Sylwia is German . You live in the Roßdorf district of Nürtingen .
Didavi started playing soccer at home SPV 05 Nürtingen . When he was seven, his father drove him to the youth days of VfB Stuttgart because each participant received two free tickets for a Bundesliga game as a thank you for appearing. Didavi was able to convince VfB and was accepted. However, due to poor academic performance, his father brought him back to Nürtingen. When Didavi's school performance improved, his father agreed with those in charge at VfB that they would try again in nine months. At first VfB didn't have a place for him, but in 2003 the club brought him back.
Club career
Although he was still eligible to play for VfB's U-19s, Didavi made his professional debut on August 30, 2008 on the fifth day of the 2008/09 season for VfB's second team in the third division in a 4-0 home win against Eintracht Braunschweig and scored two goals in that game and set up another.
On January 21, 2009 Didavi extended his contract in Stuttgart early until June 2012. For the 2010/11 season Didavi was promoted to the professional squad. He was on 29 July 2010, his competitive debut for the first team of VfB Stuttgart in the third qualifying round of the Europa League against Norwegian Molde FK and 29 August 2010 made his Bundesliga debut against Borussia Dortmund when he for the second half of Georg Niedermeier Meier substitute has been.

In October 2014 he tore a muscle bundle on his left thigh in a test match , and in January 2015 an irritation occurred on the operated left knee. It was not until April 25, 2015, the 30th matchday of the 2014/15 season , that he was used again in the Bundesliga. a. with two goals part in the fact that VfB Stuttgart did not relegate again.
