Brajiliw ( Ukrainian Браїлів ; Russian Браилов Brailow , Polish Brajłów ) is an urban-type settlement in the Ukrainian Vinnytsia Oblast with about 4,700 inhabitants (2014).
The village, first mentioned in 1440, has had the status of an urban-type settlement since 1972 and is the administrative center of the settlement council of the same name, which also includes the village of Somaky ( Сьомаки ) and the settlements of Brajiliw ( Браїлів ) and Volodymyrivka ( Володимирівка ).
Brajiliw is located in Shmerynka district on the bank of the river Riw ( Рів ), a 104 km long right tributary of the Southern Bug and on the territorial road T-02-42 11 km northeast of the district center Schmerynka and 37 km southwest of the oblast center Vinnytsia .
