history

The constituency 75 Mansfelder Land emerged in the constituency reform of 2002 from the predecessor constituency 295 Eisleben - Hettstedt - Sangerhausen , which included the former districts of Eisleben , Hettstedt and Sangerhausen . Saxony-Anhalt lost one constituency in the 2009 Bundestag election. Since a major district reform also took place in Saxony-Anhalt in 2007 , most of the constituencies were redefined. The constituency of Mansfelder Land was renamed Mansfeld and expanded to include the three administrative communities Saalkreis Nord, Westlicher Saalkreis and Würde / Salza, which previously belonged to the disbanded constituency of Bernburg - Bitterfeld - Saalkreis . For the 2013 Bundestag election, the constituency was given number 74.
