Burgstall Konnersreuth

The Burgstall Konnersreuth is located on the western outskirts of Konnersreuth . Maps from the 16th and 17th centuries show a multi-story building there that towers over all the others. This building can be located on the Kalvarienberg (900 m west-northwest of the parish church), on which the Auerberg chapel for the Sorrowful Mother of God was built in 1822 . A possibly existing moat at the foot of the hill can no longer be recognized due to the agricultural use. In addition, the hill was significantly changed in 2009 by the construction of a crossroads .

Konnersreuth was first mentioned in 1184 as "Cunradisrut". A local nobility based there is attested since 1242. At that time, a "Vlricum de Cuonradreut" was mentioned in a certificate issued by the Hohenberger in Eger , which obviously belonged to the Eger ministry . In 1252 a "Ulricus de Cunratsreut" appeared in a Falkenberg document . In 1266 a "dominus Ulri de Cunradsrute" was mentioned again. After 1254 the people of Konnersreuth sold their headquarters to the Waldsassen monastery . In 1362 the monastery sold the village "Chunradsreut bey dem Hofe called Vockenuell" to Heinrich and Fritz von Oberndorf.
