Carl Heim
Carl Heim (born August 18, 1858 in Darmstadt ; † November 27, 1924 in Jugenheim an der Bergstrasse ) was a German electrical engineer and university professor . He taught as a professor at the Technical University of Hanover and was its rector from 1915 to 1917 .
Life
In 1885 Heim received his doctorate from the University of Giessen . In 1885 he was an engineer at the German Edison Society in Berlin, before teaching from 1886 to 1892, initially as a private lecturer in electrical engineering at the Technical University of Hanover. In 1892 the university appointed him professor for electrochemistry. In 1914 he received the title of Privy Councilor, and in 1921 he retired .
