Hermann Boehrs

Hermann Böhrs (born April 29, 1905 in Hanover ; † February 27, 1983 in Göttingen ; full name August Ernst Hermann Böhrs ) was a German economist and, as a professor, Rector of the Technical University of Hanover from 1970 to 1971 .

Life

Hermann Böhrs came from a family of sculptors. In 1933 he joined the NSDAP ( membership number 2312742); he was also a member of the German Labor Front , the National Socialist People's Welfare , the Nazi Association of German Technology and the German Red Cross . After completing his studies, Böhrs initially worked in industry, and from 1941 as a deputy member of the board. From 1947 to 1953 he was the general manager of the REFA association for work design, company organization and corporate development .

Hermann Böhrs obtained his doctorate on the basics of work organization at the Technical University of Braunschweig in 1941 under the machine tool manufacturer Gotthold Pahlitzsch (1903–1992). rer. nat. In 1949 he completed his habilitation there. From 1947 to 1951 he received a teaching position as a private lecturer in Braunschweig , from 1952 to 1956 he taught in Darmstadt and worked as a scientific advisor. He then received a call as associate professor at the University of St. Gallen and stayed there until he was appointed to the chair for business administration at the TH Hannover in 1960. From 1970 to 1971 Böhrs was rector of the Technical University of Hannover.
