Champagnac-la-Rivière ( Occitan : Champanhac ) is a French municipality with 577 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Haute-Vienne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . It belongs to the arrondissement Rochechouart and the canton Rochechouart (until 2015: canton Oradour-sur-Vayres ).

Champagnac-la-Rivière is located about 28 kilometers west-southwest of Limoges in the Périgord-Limousin Regional Nature Park . The Tardoire flows through the municipality . Champagnac-la-Rivière is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Oradour-sur-Vayres in the north and north-west, Saint-Laurent-sur-Gorre in the north and north-east, Champsac in the east, Châlus in the south-east, Dournazac in the south, La Chapelle-Montbrandeix in the south-west as well as Cussac in the west and south-west.
