Saint-Bazile , in Occitan Sent Basaris , is a municipality in France . It belongs to the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region , the Haute-Vienne department , the Rochechouart arrondissement and the Rochechouart canton .

geography

Saint-Bazile is north of the Tardoire , in the Rochechouart-Chassenon crater , which was formed by a meteorite impact about 200 million years ago. The municipality is bordered by Vayres to the north, Oradour-sur-Vayres to the east, Cussac to the southeast, Saint-Mathieu to the south and Chéronnac to the west .
