Saint-Laurent-sur-Gorre ( Occitan Sent laurenc de Gora) is a commune in the Haute-Vienne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Rochechouart and the Canton of Rochechouart .

history

Before the French Revolution , Saint-Laurent-sur-Gorre was a parish in the Diocese of Limoges, under the Archpriest of Nontron. Worldly she belonged to the Poitou .

Saint-Laurent owned a leper colony called maladrerie , whose patron saint was Maturinus of Sens .
