January 9th: Acquisition of the Anna relic from stonemason Leonhard from Kornelimünster , who had stolen it from St. Stephen's Church in Mainz . This relic was brought from Bethlehem to Mainz in 1212 .

The city had a new leper home and a new town hall built from its part of the Anna sacrifice by 1507

March 18: After a long dispute over the possession of the Anna relic between Düren and Mainz, the bull of Pope Julius II decided in favor of Düren
The name “Annakirche” prevails for the Martinkirche

The Franciscans consecrate the Way of the Cross of the monastery and two cemeteries

Construction of a new Franciscan church with a monastery , as the first was badly damaged by fire. The monastery was almost completely destroyed by the fire. The church is completed in 1537.

August 22nd: Emperor Karl V camps with his troops in the area of Gut Weyern
23 August: The head of the municipal defense, bailiff Reinhard von Vlatten , rejects the request for surrender
August 24: Düren is stormed and looted from Krausberg (Kölnplatz, today Friedrich-Ebert-Platz ) after the bombardment by the imperial artillery (Charles V) . Düren was badly damaged by the major fire that followed. The Annahaupt was brought from the Annakirche to the Franciscan Church.
August 25th: Town hall, Anna's Church, Cellitinnenkloster and 600 houses burned
August 27th: The emperor leaves with the army
