The Chrysler Executive was a full- size model offered by the US automobile manufacturer Chrysler from 1983 to 1986.
The Chrysler Executive was an extended version of the Chrysler LeBaron that Chrysler used to target the then booming US stretch sedan market ( known simply as limousines in the US ).
Together with the Cadillac Fleetwood 75 , the Executive was the only model of this type that was officially available from the factory at the time.
The Executive was offered in two different versions, each with a different wheelbase:
- as a five-seater, four-door executive sedan with a wheelbase of 315 cm (only model year 1984), and
- as a seven-seater, four-door executive sedan on a wheelbase of 332.7 cm (model years 1984–1986).
These models were manufactured by the company ASC in St. Louis, which specializes in conversions, on the basis of regular LeBaron limousines.
The drive was taken over by the Mitsubishi 2.6-liter four-cylinder in 1984/85, and the in-house 2.2-liter with turbocharger in the 1986 model year. The TorqueFlite automatic was always mandatory.
The Executive Sedan, which was only produced for a year, reached 196 units, the Executive Sedan came to 1,491 units in three years plus two prototypes in 1982.
