The engine was replaced without these measures. This was identical to the flexible fuel engine in terms of its maximum power output of 175 kW (235 hp) (in model year 2007). The 5.7-liter V8 engine found a. also used in the Chrysler 300C and was also available for the Dodge Magnum . If all eight cylinders are activated, the V8 engine has a maximum output of 257 kW (335 hp) with 509 Nm of torque. In the 2008 model year, the maximum output of the 4.7-liter engine was increased to 226 kW (303 hp). From summer 2008, a version with hybrid drive was also available with a system output of 287 kW (385 hp). The maximum output of the 5.7-liter engine was increased to 280 kW (376 hp) in the 2009 model year.
