The Chrysler CP series was a luxury car manufactured by Chrysler in Detroit only in the second half of the 1932 model year (January - July 1932). It replaced the brand's first eight-cylinder car, the CD series, and was added to the Imperial CH / CL series .

The car had a side-controlled 8-cylinder in-line engine with a displacement of 4893 cm³, which delivered 100 bhp (74 kW). As with the predecessor, the rear wheels were driven by a single-plate dry clutch and a four-speed gearbox with center shift. A semi-automatic (automatic, vacuum-actuated clutch) was available on request. All four wheels were hydraulically braked as standard. Like the Imperial, the open-top cars and sedans were equipped with a LeBaron body with spoked wheels. For the first time there were all-steel bodies, including a 4-door convertible based on sedans.

5113 copies were made. In July 1932 appeared as the successor to the Royal series CT .
